Blog 2.2
A couple weekends ago Chantelle had some breakfast plans with some friends of hers. Since she had to get up early I decided to start the day early too and dropped her off so I could take the car and go shoot some photos. I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to shoot so I brought along my DSLR, a couple lenses and my drone.
It wasn’t long before the dogs got antsy and I had to find a place to take them for a walk. There’s a park not too far from my place that has some off leash trails I’ve been meaning to check out, so we made our way over there. It turned out to be a great little spot to walk around while also having a fair variety of birds to watch.
When I got back to the car I was still eager to shoot some more photos. While deciding where to go next it occurred to me that it had been a little while since I had made a blog post. I decided I was going to continue to photograph a normal day as it happened in front of me and post the photos whether they were spectacular or not. With that idea established I set out towards a random corner of the city where I hadn’t been to before.
I slowly made my way out of East Van going south as I gradually headed towards home. As I got closer to Marine Drive, I decided to dip over to Mitchell Island out of sheer curiosity. It’s mostly just an industrial area but I did find a couple things to take pictures of. After that quick drive around the island I took the dogs to the dog park near our house for one more run around before I went home to play some Starfox on the SNES for a bit.
I stayed at home for a little while before deciding to walk over to the 7/11 for some munchies. This time I stuck to my rangefinder camera and phone to snap pictures on the walk over.
When I got back the dogs were both crashed out from the numerous walks they had earlier in the day and the hockey game was just about to start, so I settled in for the evening, watched hockey and edited the photos you just looked through.
